Mein Name ist Jan und ich bin Gründer und Geschäftsführer der medicteach GmbH.

Wir sind eine kleine Firma in 63165 Mühlheim am Main (Kreis Offenbach; ggf. ziehen wir mit unseren Räumlichkeiten im nahen Umkreis demnächst um, bspw. nach Hanau oder Obertshausen, das stellt sich noch raus in der nächsten Zeit).
Mein Team besteht derzeit aus einer Vollzeitkraft (Mathias), meiner Assistentin Ines sowie den Kolleginnen Maren, Sinem und Sophia. 
Dazu unterstützen uns freiberufliche Kolleg:innen deutschlandweit bedarfsweise bei unserer Arbeit. 

Wir beraten internationale Firmen dualsprachlich (DE/EN) in den Bereichen Arbeitssicherheit, Brandschutz, IT-Architektur, Unternehmensführung & Medizintechnik.
Wir bieten dualsprachliche Schulungen für die o.g. Bereiche und verkaufen bspw. Defibrillatoren und Verbandmaterial in kleinerem Stile.
Zudem sind wir ein Verlag und verlegen sowohl Fachtitel als auch belletristische Werke.

Stundenumfang
Wir bieten eine GfB-Stelle mit max. 603€ bei 16€ Stundenlohn. 

Dein Aufgabengebiet

Der Begriff “RUNNER” kommt vom Filmset: Man braucht immer jemanden, der Dinge schnell von A nach B bringt, dies auffüllt, hier sortiert, da nachzählt, hier mal kurz durchkehrt. 
Unser Büro und (kleines) Lager (ein kleines Außenlager ist zudem in Obertshausen) sind derzeit auf drei Ebenen verteilt, daher brauchen wir eine gute Seele, die uns am besten an mehreren Tage (bei einer Minijob-Stelle i.d.R. 2/Woche) die Woche tatkräftig unterstützt, Material bzw. Pakete zu packen und durchs Gebäude zu bringen. Dazu weitere typische Dinge, ohne die ein Büro nicht auskommt: Papier nachfüllen, den Fußboden wischen, mal staubsaugen, etc. Alles Dinge, die auch ich noch als Gründer mache, aber mehr und mehr keine Zeit dafür habe und mich schlicht um andere Dinge kümmern muss. 

Weitere Aufgaben wären bspw. Auto waschen fahren/aussaugen (wenn du einen Führerschein hast, was klasse wäre), Pakete/Briefe zur Post bringen, Dinge im Umkreis ausliefern oder abholen (sofern Führerschein vorhanden, natürlich mit einem unserer Poolfahrzeuge), Material sortieren und listen, etc. Es ist auf jedenfall ein abwechslungsreiches Feld und du kommst mal weg vom Schreibtisch und kannst physisch arbeiten. 

Arbeitsschutz ist uns wichtig! Du musst dich nicht überlasten und wir achten sehr auf ergonomische Arbeitsweise. Du bekommst qualitative Sicherheitsschuhe und Dienstkleidung/persönliche Schutzausrüstung in ausreichender Zahl kostenfrei gestellt. 

Auch sonst ist uns an gutem Arbeitsmaterial sehr gelegen, dass du gut arbeiten kannst. 

Zudem unterstützen wir dich natürlich bei Aufgaben, die nicht allein zu bewältigen sind und du kannst IMMER nach Hilfe fragen. 

Bei uns kannst du stringente Workflows und Freude an der Arbeit kombiniert erleben. 
Kaffee, Wasser und gute Gespräche sind frei. 
Das Büro sonst ist in seiner Größe sehr, sehr überschaubar. Das ist etwas anderes, wenn man vorher in einem Großraumbüro mit fünfzig Leuten gearbeitet hat. 

Du kannst hier aktiv miterleben, wie eine Firma das Geld verdienen muss, was sie wieder ausgibt und nicht alles auf Kostenstellen beruht.

On top zum Lohn, übernehmen wir die tatsächlich angefallenen ÖPNV-Kosten zwischen Büro und Wohnort innerhalb des Rhein-Main-Gebiets im Geltungsbereich des Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbunds (RMV) (sofern kein Semesterticket vorliegt) gegen Vorlage der Fahrtbelege zur Auszahlung mit dem Lohn. 

Drei wichtige Grundlagen: 

• Home Office ist bei dieser Stelle nicht möglich
• Aus Erfahrung wissen wir, dass Du nicht allzu weit weg wohnen solltest (oder per Auto mobil bist, aber auch da bedenke: du musst die Strecke jede Woche fahren). Mühlheim ist nicht die "Oase der ÖPNV-Erreichbarkeit" - prüfe daher bitte vor einer Bewerbung, ob Du zu den üblichen Bürozeiten (9-17) uns hier erreichen kannst und dir der Weg auf Dauer nicht zu viel Aufwand ist
• Wir arbeiten dich intensiv ein. Niemand ist hier auf sich allein gestellt, keiner wird wegen Fehlern aufgezogen. Wir wollen, dass du deinen Job gut und selbstsicher erledigen kannst. Daher ist bei uns eine Einarbeitung zeitintensiv und bei unserer Teamgröße mit besonderer Zusatzarbeit verbunden. Du solltest dich daher vorab innerlich befragen, ob das Ganze wirklich etwas für dich ist (Probearbeiten s.u.)

My name is Jan, and I’m the founder and Managin Director of medicteach GmbH.

We’re a small company located in 63165 Mühlheim am Main (Offenbach district); we may be moving our offices to a nearby city soon - for example, to Hanau or Obertshausen - but that will become clear in the near future.

My team currently consists of one full-time employee (Mathias), my assistant Ines, and my colleagues Maren, Sinem, and Sophia.

In addition, freelance colleagues throughout Germany support us in our work as needed.

We provide bilingual (German/English) consulting services to international companies in the areas of occupational safety, fire safety, IT architecture, corporate management, and medical technology.

We offer bilingual training courses in the areas mentioned above and sell items such as defibrillators and first-aid supplies on a small scale.

We are also a publishing house and publish both non-fiction and fiction titles.

Working Hours

We’re offering a GfB position with a maximum of 603€ at an hourly wage of 16€.

Your Responsibilities

The term “RUNNER” comes from the movie set: You always need someone to quickly get things from A to B, restock supplies, sort things here, count items there or just give the place a quick sweep.

Our office and (small) warehouse (we also have a small off-site warehouse in Obertshausen) are currently spread across three floors, so we need a reliable person who can actively support us - ideally on several days a week (for a part-time position, typically 2 days a week) - by packing materials and packages and transporting them throughout the building. In addition, there are other typical tasks that no office can survive well without: restocking paper, mopping the floor, vacuuming now and then, etc. These are all things that I, as the founder, still do myself, yet I keep on having less and less time for them and simply have to focus on other matters more thoroughly.

Other tasks might include, for example, taking the car to be washed or vacuuming it (if you have a driver’s license, which would be great), taking packages or letters to the post office, delivering or picking up items in the surrounding area (provided you have a driver’s license, using one of our company vehicles, of course), sorting and listing materials, etc. It’s definitely a varied role, and you’ll get a chance to step away from your desk and do some physical work. 

Workplace safety is important to us! You don’t have to overwork yourself, and we place great emphasis on ergonomic work practices. You’ll be provided with high-quality safety shoes and work clothes/personal protective equipment in sufficient quantities, free of charge.

We’re also very committed to providing you with good work equipment so you can do your job well.

Of course, we’ll also support you with tasks that can’t be handled alone, and you can ALWAYS ask for help.

The office itself is very, very manageable in size: It’s quite a fresh experience if you’ve previously worked in an open-plan, big office with fifty people.

In addition to your salary, we reimburse the actual public transportation costs incurred between your office and home within the Rhine-Main region covered by the Rhine-Main Transport Association (RMV) (provided you do not have a semester ticket) upon presentation of your receipts, which will be paid out with your salary.

Three important requirements:

• Working from home is not an option for this position
• We know from experience that you shouldn’t live too far away (or be able to drive, but keep in mind: you’ll have to make that trip every week). Mühlheim isn’t exactly a “paradise for public transportation” so please check before applying whether you can get here during regular office hours (9 a.m.–5 p.m.) and whether the commute won’t be too much of a hassle for you in the long run
• We’ll provide you with intensive training. No one here is left to fend for themselves, and no one gets teased for making mistakes. We want you to be able to do your job well and with confidence. That’s why our onboarding process is time-intensive and, given the size of our team, involves a significant amount of extra work. You should therefore ask yourself in advance whether this is really the right fit for you (see below for trial work).
