Intern (m/f/x) “Employee Experience Engagement” for 6 Months

Your Department: Employee Experience
DHL Group has set the goal of becoming “Great Place to Work”® certified across all its business units by the end of 2025, positioning itself as one of the best global employers in the world. The "Employee Experience" (EX) department will play a crucial role in shaping this journey, creating a work environment for our colleagues worldwide that is truly exceptional. We look at the entire "journey" of our colleagues within the company – both in the digital and the real world. If you want to help shape how we connect people and improve lives, both internally and externally, then you’ve come to the right place.

You’ll be part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team known for creative ideas and unconventional thinking, driving the Employee Experience at DHL Group with passion. Our team includes IT nerds, psychologists, communicators, process improvers, SCRUM masters, facilitators, marketing experts, and many other professionals with deep expertise in their fields.

Your team: Employee Experience Engagement
The Employee Experience Engagement team has the exciting task of developing and implementing engagement initiatives within our innovative digital workplace. Our goal? To actively support the Group's 590,000 employees and take their digital experience to the next level.
We focus primarily on the employee app "Smart Connect," employee services and our internal career platform "Career Marketplace." In close collaboration with our divisional stakeholders, we develop creative strategies to increase activation rates and empower our employees.
We also work intensively on “Employee Journeys,” supporting key moments for our employees in a digital way. For us, Employee Experience is much more than just interacting with technology – we aim to provide our colleagues with holistic, cross-platform support at exactly the moments they need it, making their workday easier.

Your tasks:

  • Creation of communication materials and how-to guides
  • Planning and conducting workshops to collaboratively develop concepts for enablement and communication initiatives
  • Supporting the implementation of job-specific onboarding journeys for employees, based on our journey framework
  • Collaborating with colleagues from other HR teams, as well as IT and communications departments, on joint projects
  • Analyzing engagement data and KPIs to evaluate the success of initiatives and drive continuous improvement
  • Conducting regular surveys and feedback sessions to understand employee needs and integrate them into engagement strategies

Anforderungen

Your profile

  • Between a bachelor’s and master’s degree, or currently in a master’s program (e.g., HR Management, Personnel Development, Communication/Information Design, (Business) Psychology, or similar fields of study)
  • Fluent in English and/or German
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365 (especially Microsoft Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Skills in image and video design are desirable (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite, Camtasia or similar)
  • Relevant professional experience related to Employee Experience, Personnel Development, Internal Communications, or Employee Engagement through internships or academic work
  • Committed and empathetic team player
  • Enthusiastic, optimistic, resilient, and creative personality with a good sense of humor

Your benefits:
You will learn a lot—if you're willing to take the leap. You’ll have a lot of fun—if you get involved. And you’ll grow—through open (AID) feedback and coaching, if you seek it out. And last but not least, you’ll be part of an initiative that brings about positive change—change that all 590,000 of our colleagues around the world will see and feel.
We offer you an excellent working environment, the opportunity to gain professional experience, networking within the DHL Group, and an attractive internship compensation package.
